💨 Abstract
The consumer watchdog Which? found that many retailers use misleading "was/now" pricing on TVs. Over half of the TV deals analyzed across five retailers didn't use the most recent prices before the discount. This practice can mislead shoppers into thinking they are getting a better deal. The retailers reviewed include Currys, Argos, Very, AO.com, and Amazon. Actors were named including LG. Advice for shoppers: verify discounts using price history sites.
