💨 Abstract
Since acquiring Activision Blizzard, Xbox has laid off approximately 2,500 employees, with more expected. Despite recent partnerships and successful game launches, Microsoft is planning significant layoffs at Xbox by the end of the month, marking the fourth round in 18 months. This follows previous layoffs in January 2023, October 2023, and September 2024, totaling around 12,000 jobs lost.
