💨 Abstract
A 67-year-old man in South Korea, identified as Won, is facing 160 counts of attempted murder after allegedly setting a packed subway carriage on fire during rush hour. His motive was dissatisfaction with his divorce lawsuit. Though 129 people needed first aid and six were hospitalized, swift passenger actions and fire-resistant materials prevented serious harm. The incident caused over £161,400 in damages. Prosecutors report Won targeted the busy train to gain attention.
