💨 Abstract
Residents of Tuvalu, an island nation in the Pacific, are buying lottery tickets for a chance to migrate to Australia as their homeland faces submersion due to rising sea levels. By 2050, most of Tuvalu's land may be underwater. The visa program, offering permanent residency and access to Australian benefits, is a lifeline for Tuvaluans. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to fortify the island, but the future remains uncertain.
