A 16-year-old named Daniel Drewitt drowned in Powell’s Pool, Birmingham, just days after his Year 11 prom. Daniel was described by his family as a popular, talented, and caring individual. His death, during a heatwave, has left his family and friends devastated. The community has shown support, highlighting Daniel's positive impact on those around him. West Midlands Police confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious.
