💨 Abstract
A wealthy aristocrat, Constance Marten, and her partner, Mark Gordon, were convicted of manslaughter after their newborn daughter, Victoria, died from exposure while they lived in a tent during winter. The couple had been on the run, avoiding child services, and set up camp on the South Downs in Hampshire. Victoria's body was found in a discarded shopping bag in a shed.
