💨 Abstract
The growing issue of graffiti on trains in the UK, particularly in London, is a significant challenge for operators like South Western Railway (SWR). Transport for London removes about 3,000 graffiti pieces weekly on key lines. SWR, the UK’s fourth busiest operator, is constantly battling this problem, especially during summer events. Staff at SWR’s Wimbledon depot work around the clock to clean graffiti, using powerful chemicals that require safety gear.
