💨 Abstract
A secondary school in Sheffield banned students from wearing shorts during a heatwave, leading to a protest. Boys at Outwood Academy City were not allowed to wear shorts, unlike girls who could wear skirts. About 15 students and parents protested, highlighting health and fairness issues related to the policy. One student with diabetes and another with autism explained how the heat and uniform policies affected them.
