💨 Abstract
Poundland, acquired for just £1, will close 25 stores in two waves on August 10 and 15, as part of a restructuring plan to shut 68 stores. Twenty-two more are also scheduled to close between August 10 and mid-October. The company, bought by Gordon Brothers, aims to reduce its total store count to around 650-700.
