💨 Abstract
James Cartwright, 61, has been convicted of murdering and raping his 54-year-old ex-fiancée, Samantha Mickleburgh, after she planned to end their relationship. Their encounter was at the Pennyhill Park Hotel on April 14. Post-mortem results showed extensive injuries, including neck fractures, indicative of strangulation. Cartwright, who claimed to find her dead, was revealed to have lied.
