💨 Abstract
The author recounts their apprehensive yet transformative journey on the Indian Pacific train from Sydney to Perth. Initially worried about the isolation and slow pace, they found the experience unexpectedly enjoyable. The train’s meticulous service and the unique landscapes of the Nullarbor Plain and outback towns like Cook and Rawlina provided a stark contrast to the rush of city life. Despite the escapes from 'normality,' the author discovered the charm of a slower pace and the beauty of the Australian landscape.
