💨 Abstract

Poundland is closing 68 stores across the UK due to a restructuring plan following its acquisition by Gordon Brothers for £1. The closures, beginning this month and concluding by mid-October, aim to reduce the store count from about 800 to 650. Additionally, Poundland will stop selling frozen and certain chilled food products and close its Darton and Bilston distribution centers.
