💨 Abstract
Several renowned retailers are set to shut dozens of stores on British high streets in August 2025, as the sector continues to face significant challenges. According to the Centre for Retail Research, up to 17,000 shops could close this year due to factors including high energy bills and the rise of online shopping. Key closures include Apple's Bristol store, multiple GAME branches, and Hobbycraft locations in Bromborough, Southport, and Stratford-upon-Avon.
