💨 Abstract
Kirsty McNulty’s son, Eli, diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and mild learning disabilities, struggled to get appropriate support in school, leading to severe behavioral issues and hospital admission. Despite Kirsten's attempts to seek help, services were unavailable because Eli appeared to conform at school. The UK's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) system faces criticism for lacking adequate support, funding, and training.
