💨 Abstract
In the UK, a new law will impose "restriction zones" on domestic abusers and sex offenders upon their release from prison to keep them away from victims. Instead of victims avoiding certain areas, offenders will be restricted, shifting the responsibility. Probation officers will work with survivors to set banned locations for perpetrators, who will be GPS-monitored. This change is welcomed by campaigners for giving survivors more freedom and sending a clear message about justice.
