💨 Abstract
Polly Smith, a 74-year-old retired care worker, joined a protest in London’s Parliament Square to support Palestine Action, which had been labeled a terror organization. Despite suffering from arthritis, Polly endured the protest and was arrested. The Met Police had warned of potential arrests, and almost 500 protesters were detained, many of them seniors. Older activists, like Polly and Trudi Warner, express strong support for Palestine, driven by empathy and a sense of responsibility.
