💨 Abstract
Wildfires across Europe, particularly in Spain and Portugal, have sent thick smoke clouds over the UK, dimming the sky. Spain has seen 14 major fires, claiming several lives and burning over 157,000 hectares. High winds and extreme heat have exacerbated the situation, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius. In Portugal, firefighters battle multiple large blazes, with some fires ongoing for days, leading to evacuations.
