💨 Abstract

Overnight Russian strikes in Ukraine killed at least six people, including a baby and a girl, and damaged Kyiv's heating and power systems. NATO scrambled fighter jets from Romania in response. These strikes followed Ukraine's use of British Storm Shadow missiles to target Russian facilities, including a chemical plant and an oil depot. Ukrainian President Zelensky criticized the West for not providing sufficient long-range missiles. The UK and US have supplied various weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, including controversial cluster munitions.
