💨 Abstract
The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Duncan, operating under NATO command, monitored the Russian warship Vice Admiral Kulakov in the English Channel. This marked the first time a UK warship was directly tasked by NATO for such an operation. The Dutch Air Force and French Navy also participated, demonstrating NATO’s coordinated response to Russian maritime activity. HMS Duncan’s commander emphasized the alliance’s strength and commitment to securing shared waters.
