After tests, they were diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune condition triggered by food poisoning. The diagnosis was emotionally and physically draining, but support from charities and online communities helped. Over time, medication and lifestyle changes managed the condition. The author later worked in TV, facing challenges due to stress, but eventually left for health reasons. Now, they advocate for disability inclusion in the industry.
