💨 Abstract

Cyclone Ditwah struck Sri Lanka on November 28, causing severe flooding and mudslides that resulted in over 400 deaths and thousands missing. About a third of the country is without water or electricity, and around 20,000 homes are destroyed. The Sri Lankan president declared a state of emergency and appealed for international aid. Key areas are severely affected, with over 200 roads and at least 10 bridges impassable.
