💨 Abstract
A devoted single mother, Martina Karos, struggling with mental health, killed her severely disabled daughter, Eleni Edwards, and then took her own life. They were found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in their home. The coroner ruled that Karos died by suicide and Eleni was unlawfully killed. Eleni, who was blind, non-verbal, and had restricted mobility, was Karos's full-time care responsibility.
