Two people aged 18-21 in Kent have died from an invasive meningitis strain, with 11 others hospitalized. The UK Health Security Agency has alerted over 30,000 students and staff, distributing antibiotics. The outbreak is linked to a social event in Canterbury. Meningitis, an infection of the brain and spinal cord membranes, can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi.
