💨 Abstract
In November 2018, a university student contracted Meningitis B, leading to Meningococcal septicaemia and organ failure. The infection caused severe damage to her extremities, resulting in the loss of her fingers and legs. After extensive medical treatment, including a hand transplant, she returned to university to complete her medical degree. She now advocates for meningitis awareness, emphasizing the importance of recognizing symptoms early and the need for MenB vaccinations.
