Dame Jenni Murray, who hosted BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour from 1987 to 2020, passed away at 75. Born in Barnsley, she began her career at BBC Radio Bristol in 1973 and later became a reporter on South Today and a presenter on Newsnight. Murray took over Woman’s Hour from Sue MacGregor and hosted her final show in October 2020.
