💨 Abstract
In 2021, at 48, the author started experiencing pain under the right rib, worsened by alcohol, and increasing fatigue. After months of misdiagnoses, a trip to A&E in early 2022 revealed a suspicious lump on the liver. An ERCP procedure diagnosed cholangiocarcinoma, a bile duct cancer. Despite initial successful treatment, the cancer returned in 2023, making further surgery impossible.
