💨 Abstract

In-flight medical emergencies are rare but require specific protocols. Cabin crew first ask for medical professionals on board, but if none are available, they may accept help from vets, who must sign an indemnity form. Crew are trained in CPR, delivering babies, and using onboard medical kits. They handle emergencies through structured protocols, such as "NITS" for pre-planned issues, and act instinctively in catastrophic situations like crashes.
