Cher was surprised to learn she had a teenage granddaughter, Ever, after her son Elijah Allman revealed the truth. Ever was born in 2010 to Kayti Edwards, who had a brief relationship with Elijah. Cher, who was initially unaware, confirmed the news last June and expressed her joy at becoming a grandma. Elijah, who has struggled with mental health and addiction, has not been actively involved in Ever's life.
