💨 Abstract
India is expected to maintain a diversified approach to crude oil imports through 2026, with Middle Eastern suppliers and Russian crude playing significant roles. Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE, and Kuwait will dominate due to proximity and reliability. Russian oil will remain crucial despite US sanctions, supported by favorable pricing and existing contracts. India may import Russian oil through indirect channels. Upcoming refinery expansions will increase crude import needs.
