💨 Abstract
A report by the Animal Law Cell (ALC) of Delhi University revealed that at least 34 pet shops in Delhi are operating without proper licenses and fail to provide basic care to animals. The survey, conducted by 19 students, found numerous violations of animal welfare laws, including cramped enclosures, lack of clean water, and inadequate veterinary care. Some shops were also selling protected species and underage animals.
