On May 13, Pakistan designated an Indian High Commission staff member as "persona non grata" for activities deemed incompatible with his status, ordering him to leave within 24 hours. The Indian Charge d’Affaires was summoned to convey this decision. This follows India's expulsion of a Pakistani official from New Delhi for alleged espionage amid ongoing tensions between the two countries after a recent military confrontation.
