đ¨ Abstract
In 2024, India experienced 5.4 million displacements due to floods, storms, and other disasters, the highest in 12 years. Most displacements were caused by floods and storms, with Assam and West Bengal severely affected. Climate change, deforestation, and poor infrastructure maintenance were major contributors. Violence-related displacements decreased but still occurred, particularly in Manipur.
