💨 Abstract
The Maharashtra cabinet approved leasing 18 acres in Mumbai's Deonar area to Mahanagar Gas for 25 years to build a 500-ton per day compressed bio-gas plant. This aligns with the central government's GOBARdhan Scheme, aiming to establish 75 bio-methanation plants in urban regions. The project, using bio-methanation technology, will convert organic waste into biogas.
