💨 Abstract
Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, a 27-year-old javelin thrower from Haryana, has been conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army. Chopra, who won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics, was previously a Subedar Major in the Indian Army.
