Parliament approved the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, following a 13-hour debate in the Rajya Sabha, with 128 members in favor and 95 against it. The Lok Sabha had passed the Bill earlier. The Bill aims to make the Waqf Board secular and benefit the minority community, according to the government.
