In Punjab's Amritsar, 21 people died and 10 were hospitalized after consuming spurious liquor in several villages. Among the deceased was Major Singh, a 45-year-old daily wager from Marari Kalan, leaving his family devastated. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the families, promising strict action against those responsible and compensation of Rs 10 lakh per deceased, along with educational support for the victims' children.
