💨 Abstract
The Indian government has extended the tenure of Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, by one year starting July 1, 2025. Karandikar, previously the Director of IIT Kanpur, was appointed in September 2023. Additionally, Sanjay Garg, Secretary of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, will see his tenure extended by one year until August 24, 2026.
