A 50-year-old Bangladeshi Hindu businessman, Khokhon Chandra Das, died from severe burns after being set on fire by assailants in Dhaka’s Shariatpur district. This is the third attack on minorities in Bangladesh in recent weeks. Das was attacked while returning home, beaten, and set ablaze. He identified his attackers before dying. Bangladesh has seen a series of attacks on minorities, including the deaths of Amit Mondal and Dipu Chandra Das.
