đź’¨ Abstract
Cape Town's new Cape Winelands Airport, valued at R7 billion, has advanced towards securing environmental approval with the submission of its Environmental Authorisation (EA) application. Project manager Deon Cloete highlighted five years of preparatory work. The airport aims to alleviate air traffic and boost economic activities in the Western Cape. Authorities' decision on the EA and financing arrangements will dictate the construction timeline.
