The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Level 2 weather warning for the Western Cape coastline from midnight on Saturday, 9 August, to 23:59 on Sunday, 10 August. The alert anticipates hazardous sea conditions and strong winds, with westerly to southwesterly swells reaching 5-6 meters and winds up to 74km/h. Coastal towns like Cape Town and George are expected to be heavily impacted.
