💨 Abstract
Cape Town is introducing no-flash speed cameras to combat speeding. These cameras use infrared activation, making them undetectable to drivers. They are being installed at known speeding and accident hotspots. The rollout coincides with the launch of AARTO traffic fines in December 2025, which will be issued electronically and must be settled within six months.
