💨 Abstract
The AVBOB Poetry Competition is open for its ninth year, inviting South Africans to submit poems on the theme ‘I wish I’d said…’ in any of the country's 11 official languages. Submissions are open until 30 November 2025. The competition aims to encourage expression and understanding, with winners receiving cash prizes, book vouchers, and a trophy. All shortlisted poems will be translated into English and featured in an annual anthology.
