💨 Abstract
Yet another bank in South Africa, Capitec, is introducing Smart ID and passport services starting later this year. This initiative will initially cover 10 branches, expanding to 100 by early 2026. The bank will prioritize underserved areas and is planning to offer these services through their app and home delivery in the future. Initially, these services will be in-branch only.
