đź’¨ Abstract
Johannesburg is facing water strain but denies being at "Day Zero." Key areas like Melville and Parktown West are affected due to high demand and infrastructure issues. The city has established an Intergovernmental Water War Room to monitor and address these problems. Residents are urged to reduce water consumption and comply with restrictions to prevent wider outages. Structural repairs are ongoing to improve long-term reliability.
