đź’¨ Abstract
Botswana is diversifying its mining sector due to declining diamond prices. The country, historically reliant on diamonds, is now exploring for copper and other critical minerals. Only 30% of Botswana has been explored for these minerals, leaving significant potential untapped. This shift is driven by global demand for materials like copper, which are crucial for electric vehicles and renewable energy. The U.S. has shown interest in partnerships, indicating Botswana's strategic repositioning in the global market.
