The Johannesburg Zoo is participating in the global Reverse the Red campaign from February 6-8, 2026. The event aims to promote species recovery and biodiversity action, involving schools, universities, and conservation organizations. Activities include educational programs for learners, conservation collaborations, and a family-friendly run. The campaign, led by the IUCN and supported by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, focuses on reversing the decline of threatened species through science-based collaboration.
