💨 Abstract
During the 2025/2026 festive season, South Africa's Border Management Authority (BMA) reported a significant increase in undocumented and unaccompanied minors at its borders. Over 50 minors were intercepted at Beitbridge, including a 3-year-old and an abandoned 11-month-old baby. At Lebombo, 15 minors were found attempting to exit illegally.
