In KwaZulu-Natal, Minister of Social Development Sisisi Tolashe highlighted alarming rates of child abuse and teenage pregnancy in the first quarter of 2025. The province recorded 3,653 cases of child abuse and neglect, with significant teenage pregnancy rates, including 11 deliveries among children aged 10-14 in Umkhanyakude District.
