đź’¨ Abstract
A motorist named Peter reported a hidden speed camera on the M3 in Cape Town, claiming it violated the city's speed enforcement policy. The City of Cape Town launched an investigation, and Traffic Services spokesperson Kevin Jacobs confirmed that the camera setup was not compliant with regulations. The city agreed the camera was excessively concealed and will not process any images captured by it, while conducting a broader investigation into the matter. This incident has renewed calls for transparency in the city's mobile speed trap practices.
