💨 Abstract
On 9th August 2025, South Africa commemorates National Women's Day, honoring a historic 1956 march advocating for women's rights. Despite the significance, this year's observance falls on a Saturday. Consequently, many workers, who usually enjoy a paid holiday, will have a regular workweek, as the Public Holidays Act does not designate an additional day off for Saturday holidays. The event underscores ongoing gender equality efforts in the country.
